Cynthia Figueroa |
President∙ Congreso de Latinos Unidos Ms. Figueroa noted that her participation in the Women's Leadership Program highlighted for her what it means to be a woman and a leader and the importance of including women leaders in decision making processes. Ms. Figueroa credits the success of her program to Eisenhower Fellows with whom she met in Chile and Argentina. Upon her return to the United States, she will begin a new job as President of Congreso de Latinos Unidos in Philadelphia. |

CEO, Director ∙ Clickequations Inc. As a result of her Fellowship to China, Ms. Holt is currently working with Gridsum, a Beijing-based company similar to her own, to establish a cross-licensing deal through which ClickEquations could offer their Baidu-based product in the U.S. and they would offer ClickEquations' Google, Yahoo!, and Bing-based product in China. She is also working with Joey Renert, an employee of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing on a mobile-based currency for aid distribution. |

Owner ∙ AK Cranberries Upon her return to the United States, Ms. Kravitz has been helping promote Ocean Spray's Families Feeding Families Campaign, and has appeared on the Today Show and the Martha Stewart Show. She is also working with her fellow board members of the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership to refocus their goals toward preserving and expanding access to local food and sustainable farming through research and education. |

Co-Founder ∙ ¿Oíste?, The Latino Political Organization/Civic Education Initiative As a result of her fellowship, she hopes to collaborate on a project with the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples, where she will offer to provide strategic advice on establishing a localized civic engagement model and on a project at the CYLI where she will seek an exchange of services where she provides advice on developing programs for 'natural leaders' while learning more about CYLI's membership model. She will also pursue further collaborations with MEMCH and seek possible opportunities to work with Patricia Politzer and Fundación Dialoga, particularly in advocacy strategy and leadership development. In addition, she is currently writing a book about how to build a progressive movement for Latinos in the United States using the ¿Oíste? statewide model and which will include some of the lessons learned during the fellowship. |

| Robert Shanklin St. Louis, Missouri |
Vice President ∙ Coal Technology, Arch Coal As a result of his fellowship, Mr. Shanklin has identified several outcomes. Among those outcomes is the added contribution that he will be able to provide to a recent exploration lease obtained by Arch Coal in Australia. He will be involved with the opening of an international office that will focus on serving the Asian markets as well as explore resource opportunities in Australia. He is also working to develop Arch's corporate strategy in China, which will be focused on coal technologies and clean energy portfolios. |

2009 USA Fellowship Outcomes & Program Summaries
| Kevin Gunn St. Louis Missouri |
Commissioner ∙ Missouri Public Service Commission Gunn will facilitate the large scale distribution of Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs in Missouri in partnership with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Will explore a potential partnership between the University of Missouri and the University of Queensland to exchange research and collaborate on biologic carbon capture and sequestration. Will present his fellowship findings on climate change and energy efficiency to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissions (NARUC). |

Michael Moehn |
Senior Vice President ∙ Corporate Planning and Business Risk Management, Ameren Corporation Moehn will continue active participation in the Washington University Clean Coal Consortium (5-year, $2 million commitment). Ameren was a charter member, and his department has recently been appointed the Ameren representative for this initiative. He will also join the St. Louis Green Business Challenge as a charter member. The objectives are to lead the St. Louis region toward a "Green Belt" economy that fosters green savings, green opportunities and green talent. |

John Nutting |
Farmer ∙ Androcssoggin Holsteins Nutting will advise agricultural businesses and associations in Maine and New England about business and partnership opportunities with agricultural and development interests in India. He will also develop relationships he has created with rural development NGO's in India to create a charitable giving program with USA-based agricultural interests, including dairy and organic production. Additionally, Mr. Nutting will work with agricultural groups in Maine and the northeast in order to integrate climate change-related programs and advocacy in fighting for sustainable agriculture in the Northeast. |

Michael Train |
President ∙ Rosemount Measurement Mike Train will become involved in business council associations which will help foster stronger relationships and economic ties between Saudi Arabia and Turkey and Missouri. He will continue collaborations already underway between a leading Saudi Arabian university and a similar institution in his sponsoring region of St. Louis, and has guided his company to make direct investment in Saudi Arabia and sponsor an EF forum in Southeast Asia. |
