Anissa Cooper is a filmmaker and rising senior at Temple University, majoring in Media Studies and Production on a Media Business Trek. After realizing her passion for writing, Anissa joined Lil Filmmakers, a non-profit organization that specializes in teaching film to youth, in 2011 as a co-screenwriter. Anissa has continued to work with Lil Filmmakers, producing, writing and directing two short films and one full-length feature. While learning the ropes of filmmaking, Anissa developed a passion for communications and community service. She is heavily involved in assisting the youth in North Philadelphia and would like to continue to do so through film and other arts. Although she a full-time student, Anissa has managed to maintain working part-time with institutions such as The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Lil Filmmakers Production Company and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She is hard-working, passionate and persistent. Her goal is to continue to aid her community and those around her while enhancing her talents and networking skills.
