Diane Shoemaker is the Senior Director, Global Fellows Network at Eisenhower Fellowships. She has served in this capacity for over 10 years, significantly strengthening the network through active engagement of Fellows post-Fellowship and harnessing Fellows goodwill and desire to give back. Under her direction, alumni chapters increased from single digits to now number 45. Fellow-initiated events and conferences have grown dramatically in the same time period. Diane has organized and directed the three most recent EF Women’s Leadership conferences in Miami, London and Philadelphia; expanding the outreach for first- time partnership with four other leading international Fellowship organizations. Diane has also served as lead staff in organizing EF international conferences in Paris (2009) and Sri Lanka (2012). She initiated a Fellow to Fellow Advisor program and took leading roles in producing and publishing two books on Eisenhower Fellowships. Previously, Diane served as Director for the USA Program and as a Program Officer for USA and International Programs. Prior to Eisenhower Fellowships, Diane was engaged by Caribbean/Central American Action, an NGO in Washington, D.C as Investment Promotion Manager to promote economic development in the region and at National Economic Research Associates, Washington, D.C as a Research Assistant.
