Mazen Homoud took up his post as Jordan’s Ambassador to London in June 2011. Homoud previously served as CEO at Jordan Projects for Tourism and Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board; Deputy Director General, Jordan Investment Board; Deputy Chief of Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court. Homoud promotes Jordan as a major investment destination by highlighting the country’s competitive investment environment and providing foreign and domestic investors with all the necessary services and information needed including one-stop-service for licensing. He targets potential investors to engage in Jordan, identifies and develops new sectors, streamlines investment procedures, and encourages a culture of excellence in his business environment. Homoud has served in the Royal Hashemite Court as Deputy Chief of Royal Protocol under His Majesty the late King Hussein and as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Managing Director and Director of Marketing at the Jordan Tourism Board. Some of Homoud’s recognitions include letters from U.S. Presidents Clinton and Carter for services rendered; his state decorations include the Knight of the Order of Independence (Jordan), Commander of the Order of Orange-Nassau (Netherlands), and Officer of the National Order of Merit & the Legion of Honor (France). He was nominated for his country’s most prestigious King Abdullah II Award for Distinction in Government Services & Transparency in the Senior Executive Leader Category.
