After more than 15 years in the academic world, Jana Ryšlinková became involved in the political changes of 1989, serving as the spokesperson of the Civic Movement, then was elected to the Czech Parliament and appointed advisor to the Minister of Education. She received management training through USAID and Harvard School of Business, created and managed several not-for-profit organizations, such as ICN, New School and the Euro-Czech Forum. Since 2001, Ryšlinková has served as the director of US Business School Praha (USBSP), which she built into the leader in the Czech market in management training and education. In 2009, Ryšlinková became co-owner of Nupharo a.s., a technological park which supports innovation, smart energy and the use of direct current (DC) by incubating later stage businesses.
