Tom Frawley served as Northern Ireland Assembly Ombudsman from 2000 - 2016. With a background in health and social services, Frawley led a Northern Ireland project team which won a competitive tender to advise on the development of the health service system in Zimbabwe. Nearer to home, he helped establish a North-South organization of neighboring health boards with the aim of mutual help, understanding and shared service development - CAWT (Cooperation and Working Together). In 2008 Tom was awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty the Queen in her New Year’s Honors List in recognition of his contribution to public service in Northern Ireland.
