On October 25 – 27, 2018, 110 guests from 31 countries convened in London for two days of events. The Women’s Leadership Conference focused on the need for women to take on leadership roles in face of increasing global challenges, and presented a project on facilitating the EF network of women to join boards. Key speakers included Vice Chair of the EF Board, Governor Christine Todd Whitman (by video), former President Mary Robinson of Ireland, the Right Honorable Lord Kerr of Tonaghmore and the Honorable Virginia Kendall, District Judge of the United States District Court of Northern Illinois.
His Excellency Adrian O’Neill, Ambassador of Ireland, hosted Eisenhower Fellows and our special guests at the Irish Embassy in London, where ten new Eisenhower Fellow Youth Leaders from nine countries were announced by EF president George de Lama.
The European Regional Conference, the second forum, explored how European nations and societies around the world are addressing the new political and social challenges posed by global migration.
Future of Work
In September, 329 participants from 49 countries convened in Málaga, Spain for an extraordinary global conference on the Future of Work, featuring a stellar lineup of speakers and thought leaders on this subject of vital importance in every region of the world.
South Asia Rising
EF President George de Lama opened the largest regional conference in Eisenhower Fellowships history, with the two-day conference attracting nearly 250 registrants, including Fellows from 19 countries.
