Bundoc was a clinician and academician devoted to improving the condition of amputees and those requiring artificial limbs and braces. His fellowship interests included visiting leading medical schools to learn about and compare medical academic curricula, and particularly curricula relating to prosthetics and orthotics, as well as basic anatomy instruction. He also visited biomechanical laboratories at leading academic medical institutions, and met specialists in minimally invasive spine surgery.
