A dyed-in-the-wool serial entrepreneur, Jerry Kuo co-founded a social networking site in Chinese Taipei in 2007, transformed it into an e-commerce site offering daily deals in 2010, sold the company to U.S.-based Groupon, and in 2012 went off with his brother to found Kuobrothers Corporation, an e-commerce business specializing in home appliance, fresh food, snacks, fruits and beauty related products. Kuobrothers Corporation won the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 prize in 2015 and went public in Taiwan in 2016. On fellowship visited the classic internet giants as well as small start-ups, seeking the best ways to build “an ecosystem of support” for information technologies.
