As an undersecretary in Argentina’s Ministry of Energy and Mining, Sebastian Kind is responsible for the country’s development of electric and non-electric power generated from renewable sources. Because of its location along the South Atlantic coast of South America, Argentina is rich in wind, solar, biomass, hydro-power, geothermal and oceanic resources, but the country struggles to attract capital investment in those technologies. On fellowship, Kind wants to meet with American leaders in finance and industry to learn the best ways to manage risk and generate investment.
