Yewande Sadiku currently oversees the Stanbic IBTC Group’s Corporate and Investment Banking business. She was previously responsible for the Group’s investment banking business. She is responsible for the articulation and delivery of the Group’s strategy, and leading a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the realization of business opportunities in Nigeria’s complex operating environment. She manages key relationships with regulators, primarily the Central Bank of Nigeria, Securities and Exchange Commission and The Nigerian Stock Exchange, and several of Nigeria’s leading corporate and multinational clients at board and executive management levels. In 2007, Sadiku was voted one of “35 International Women under 35” by World Business magazine. Among other areas of interest, while on her fellowship she hoped to better understand how the U.S. financial sector supports the development of the American entertainment industry. In her spare time, Sadiku has an interest in bringing formal financing to the Nigerian film industry; she raised funding for Half of a Yellow Sun (2014) a full feature film.
