Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) announces the selection of 24 mid-career leaders for its 2025 Global Program, a nearly six-week transformative experience designed to deepen international understanding and collaboration.
Representing four continents and a diverse array of professional fields, these Eisenhower Fellows embody the organization’s mission to build bridges across borders and foster a more peaceful, prosperous and just world.
The 2025 Global Fellows reflect a shared commitment to addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Their work spans critical areas such as climate change, public health, education, artificial intelligence and economic development. The group includes innovators working to improve cancer detection in Liberia, develop practical strategies to enhance climate resilience in India and ensure the ethical development and deployment of AI in Colombia.
“This exceptional group of leaders embodies the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and resilience needed to address critical challenges around the world. Their time in the United States will grow their networks and strengthen their ability to drive impactful change,” said EF Chairman, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates.
Arriving in the U.S. in April, the Fellows each will visit six to eight cities for meetings with dozens of American thought leaders and experts in their respective fields. This individualized approach ensures that each Fellow’s journey aligns with their professional goals and equips them to implement concrete projects benefiting their societies upon their return home.
Afterwards, the 2025 Global Fellows will enjoy lifelong immersion in EF’s influential global network of leaders from government, business, civil society, education, science, health care, the arts and journalism.
Founded in 1953 and named for President Dwight D. Eisenhower, EF connects leaders from diverse fields and countries to exchange ideas, foster collaboration and promote international understanding. With a network of nearly 1,900 active Fellows in scores of nations, EF inspires, connects and empowers leaders to take on some of the world’s most urgent challenges with creativity, determination and purpose.
