EF Impact Award
Eisenhower Fellowships announces the creation of a new annual EF Impact Award recognizing a Fellow or group of Fellows for making a positive impact through their fellowship project or a concrete collaboration with other Fellows.
The award highlights work that helps people live better lives by bringing about changes for the better in professional fields or within communities at the local, national or international level.
Award recipients will receive a $10,000 USD prize to help advance and sustain their impact and will be publicly recognized at an EF event in Philadelphia.
Awards Selection Panel evaluates applications and selects winner or winners.

2024 James and Carol Hovey
EF Impact Award
Eisenhower Fellowships is issuing a call for project submissions for the 2024 James and Carol Hovey EF Impact Award to recognize a Fellow or group of Fellows for outstanding project achievement to drive positive impact.
The second EF Impact Award, endowed by Trustee Jim Hovey and his wife Carol, will be presented at an Eisenhower Fellowships event in 2024.
“The James and Carol Hovey EF Impact Award underscores our strategic focus on generating positive impact through our programs,” said EF President George de Lama. The award follows on the heels of EF Impact 2022-2023, our first data-driven, public impact report. You can read it here.

Eisenhower Fellowships Chairman Dr. Robert M. Gates, former U.S. secretary of defense, presented the inaugural James and Carol Hovey Impact Award at EF’s 70th Anniversary World Forum in San Francisco in October to Eisenhower Fellow Braimah Sulemana, Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, for his groundbreaking journalism of accountability in Ghana. A distinguished selection committee of Fellows, Trustees and EF senior management will judge the entries and name the 2024 award recipient.
