Richard Swann is a 2025 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Swann, 23, has a passion for language fluency and AI policy implementation on a global scale. He recently completed a semester exchange at the Spanish Naval Academy in Galicia, gaining first-hand experiences in international military cooperation while training alongside Spanish marines. At IE University in Madrid, he will explore how artificial intelligence can be ethically integrated into American foreign policy. Earning his Master’s degree in international relations through IE will qualify him to streamline the process of becoming a foreign area officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.
