Frequently Asked Questions

Information on how to donate can be found here. Donations to the Fellows Giving Society can be made in one payment, quarterly or monthly.  We strive to make the opportunity accessible.  A gift of 1,000 is just $83 per month. Society entry gift level is $1,000.

Yes, the Fellows Giving Society is made up of Fellows who donate yearly.  The goal is to develop a base of sustainable donors who choose to support EF because of the profound impact the organization has made on their life and the broader community. Those who make a multi-year gift will be recognized each year that they have committed to donate.

No, the Fellows Giving Society is exclusively for Fellows. Benefits are designed specifically for Fellows to recognize and celebrate them.

Yes, of course. EF wants to ensure that you have the recognition you want. Please indicate on your pledge form if you wish to remain anonymous.

Yes, we welcome matching gifts. Please indicate on your pledge form if your gift will be matched.

Yes, please indicate on your pledge form if an organization or another individual will be making a gift in your honor.

The Fellows Giving Society is for individual Fellows. A group gift does not qualify a chapter, fellowship class or its members for Founding Fellow recognition.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of chapters and fellowship classes. There will be a separate opportunity to give as a group next year. In late 2027, EF will invite country chapters to make collective gifts to celebrate EF’s 75th anniversary in 2028.

Ways to Give

Other Ways to Give

Donor Advised Fund

Recommend a gift from your DAF.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account with a sponsoring organization that has immediate tax benefits and allows donors to recommend grants to qualified non-profit organizations over time. It makes managing your charitable contributions and fulfilling your philanthropic goals simple and easy.

Commemorative gifts

Make a gift in honor or in memory of someone special to you.

Making a memorial gift is a lasting way to preserve the memory of a loved one.  Gifts made in honor of Fellows (past and present) are welcome!

Give from your IRA

A great resource for giving after age 70 ½. If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a direct transfer of up to $110,000 (in 2026) from your IRA to a qualified charity like Eisenhower Fellowships.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) can satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and are excluded from taxable income—an even better outcome than a charitable deduction. (Note that 401(k)s and other employer plans do not qualify.)

Matching gift

Check with your company to see if they will match your contribution! Many companies offer this as a way to encourage their employees' philanthropy and amplify their impact.
