Former EF trustee, Washington SyCip, was honored on January 20, 2017 for his ongoing support of EF initiatives in the Philippines. The Eisenhower Fellowship Association of the Philippines (EFAP) continues to be a source of great strength and leadership in the EF Global Network and SyCip was recognized at the EFAP annual general meeting. Along with almost 30 Fellows and guests, current trustees, Derek Chilvers and Jaime Zobel de Ayala were also in attendance. The event culminated in an evening of fellowship with tributes from Chairman General Colin L. Powell, USA (ret) and President George de Lama presented to SyCip. Gen. Powell honored Sycip in his statement: “For the integrity, creativity and intelligence of your leadership, your unswerving commitment to sound principles and policy, and the international breadth of your vision, and in recognition of your exemplary public service and the worldwide impact of the standards you have set, we are proud to record with appreciation and gratitude your eleven years of loyal service to Eisenhower Fellowships as a trustee.”
