On May 14, 2025, Eisenhower Fellowships’ global community will join our Chairman, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, EF Trustees, friends and special guests for a dynamic Annual Meeting Day of events in Philadelphia.

Highlights include a private, invitation-only, off-the-record luncheon discussion on global trends and developments with Secretary Gates, Trustees and other supporters of the organization at the Bellevue Hotel. This will be followed later that afternoon by a Chairman’s Seminar at the Bellevue with Secretary Gates and Eisenhower Fellows completing their fellowship travels that day.

That evening EF hosts our 2025 Annual Awards Dinner at the National Constitution Center, where Secretary Gates will present the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medal for Leadership and Service to celebrated philanthropist and business leader David Rubenstein, co-founder and co-chairman of The Carlyle Group. EF’s Board is honoring Mr. Rubenstein for his extraordinary public service to support higher education and the arts, advance economic empowerment in disadvantaged communities and preserve America’s historical legacy to deepen global understanding.
